LiftMaster Garage Door Repair

LiftMaster is the opener we see most across Texas, on garage doors and on driveway gates, and Garage Tec repairs, services and installs the full LiftMaster line: belt-drive, chain-drive and wall-mount garage door openers, myQ smart accessories, and the LiftMaster gate operators that run estate, community and commercial entrances.

LiftMaster Garage Door Repair Tech

Our trucks carry LiftMaster gear kits, logic boards, capacitors, photo-eyes, remotes and keypads, so a LiftMaster garage door repair is usually finished in one visit, with a written price before work begins.

We serve Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Houston from local offices, seven days a week.

LiftMaster Garage Door Opener Repair

Most LiftMaster problems come down to one part, and we carry it.

LiftMaster Garage Door Opener Repair

Stripped drive gear

The classic LiftMaster failure on chain-drive units: the motor runs, the door does not move. A gear kit fixes it for a fraction of a new opener.

Logic board failure

Lightning and surges take out boards every spring; the motor is fine. Boards are replaceable on nearly every LiftMaster model.

Photo-eye and safety reverse problems

A door that reverses before closing is almost always a blocked or misaligned sensor, not a bad opener.

Remotes, keypads and myQ

Lost codes after a power outage, dead batteries, Wi-Fi reconnection and phone-app setup.

Belt and chain wear

Cracked belts and slack chains re-tensioned or replaced, with the rail checked for alignment.

Capacitor and motor failure

A humming unit that will not start is usually the capacitor; a burned motor on an older unit is where we talk about replacement.

Battery backup

Replacement batteries for the 8550W, 87504 and other backup-equipped models, so the door works when the power is out.

LiftMaster Openers We Install

LiftMaster Openers We Install

When a LiftMaster unit has reached the end of its life, or you want a quieter, smarter opener, we install the current line and set up every feature before we leave.

Belt drive (8550W, 87504-267, 85503)

The quiet choice for garages under bedrooms, with myQ, battery backup and camera options.

Chain drive (8365W, 8160W)

The workhorse for detached garages and heavy doors.

Wall-mount (8500W, 98022)

Clears the ceiling for storage or a car lift, with an automatic deadbolt.

myQ smart features

Phone control, delivery access, alerts and integration with Amazon Key and home systems.

Every installation includes

Removal of the old unit, new rail where needed, photo-eyes and wall console installed and tested, remotes and keypad programmed, and the safety reverse demonstrated.

LiftMaster Gate Operators

LiftMaster is also the most common operator on Texas driveway and community gates, and our gate division services the full line.

LiftMaster Gate Operators

Residential swing and slide operators (LA400, LA412, LA500, SL400)

Estate and driveway gates, including solar-powered installations for long drives.

Commercial and community operators (CSW24, SL3000, SL585, RSW12)

High-cycle HOA entrances, apartment gates and commercial slides.

Access control

LiftMaster keypads, telephone entry, myQ Community and card readers programmed and serviced.

Loops, photo-eyes and edges

The safety devices on every LiftMaster gate operator tested to UL 325.

LiftMaster Repair FAQs

Do you repair LiftMaster openers or just replace them?

Repair first. Gears, boards, capacitors, sensors and remotes are carried on the truck; we recommend replacement only when the motor has failed, parts are discontinued or the unit is 15 or more years old.

My LiftMaster runs but the door does not move. What is it?

Almost always a stripped drive gear, or a broken spring the opener cannot overcome. Both are same-visit repairs.

Can you set up myQ on my phone?

Yes, including Wi-Fi reconnection, delivery access and alerts.

My LiftMaster died after a thunderstorm. Fixable?

Usually. Surges take out the logic board, which is replaceable, and we can add surge protection.

Do you service LiftMaster gate operators?

Yes. LA400 and LA412 swing operators, SL400 and SL3000 slides, CSW24 and the commercial line, plus the access control that goes with them.

How much does LiftMaster repair cost?

Remotes, sensors and limit adjustments sit at the affordable end; gear kits and boards cost more; a new opener is quoted separately. You get an exact written price before any work starts.

Is Chamberlain the same as LiftMaster?

Same manufacturer. LiftMaster is the professional line sold through dealers; Chamberlain is the retail line. We service both.
